: A 82-years-old man was referred to our hospital with history of left chronic dacryocyctitis for 6 month. The patient had epiphora and nasolacrimal duct irrigation was documented complete obstruction. The patient did not report bloody tears and during irrigation there was not bloody reflux. With the impression of left chronic dacryocyctitis he underwent DCR surgery. During surgery ,we noticed to a dark- reddish vegetative mass on lacrimal sac wall. We send a specimen for pathology evaluation and completed our surgery. The histopathology features were consistent with benign Oncocystoma of the lacrimal sac and chronic dacryocystitis
Conclusion:
Oncocytic lesion of the ocular adnexa are rare. They are generally seen in the caruncle, but may also occure in the lacrimal sac. There are few reported cases of lacrimal sac oncocystic lesion.
