Purpose:
|
the objective of present study was to measure the CCT in our myopia patient refer to LASIK clinic of seyedoshohada hospital in YAZD and to find its relationship to age, gender and refractive error.
|

Methods:
|
CCT was measured in 790 myopic eyes using ultrasonic packymetry. the age of patient ranged from 20 to 58 years. they had no refractive surgery or keratoconus and their use of contact lens were limited up to past 3 weeks. also their refractive error had no change through last one year. after the examination of corneal topography and refraction the values were analyzed.

Results:
|
result showed that the mean CCT was 542.93 microns (standard deviation: 40.78) . there is no correlation between CCT and age or gender. the mean ACD is 3.11. there is a reverse relation between age and ACD and also a reverse relation between keratometry and CCT.

Conclusion:
|
there is no relation between CCT and refractive error.
