Purpose:
|
To describe an interesting
case with unusual large metallic
foreign body in anterior
chamber.
|
|
Methods:
|
Case report: A 30-year-old
carpenter man presented with mild
blurred vision following working with
metallic and woody instruments.In
ocular exam a mild conjunctival
redness and a small object was
seen in anterior chamber(angle) in
slit lamp biomicroscopy. An orbital
CT scanning was performed to
evaluate the size and position of
foreign body.other ophthalmic
exams were normal.

Results:
|
He underwent a
surgery under general anesthesia to
remove the foreign body which was
much more larger than it was seen
in slit lamp biomicroscopy.

Conclusion:
|
It is recommended to be
careful in ocular exam not to miss a
large unusual inta-ocular foreign
body.
