Purpose:

Presenting the prevention of keratoconus progression in rigid gas permeable contact lens users

Methods:
|
100 patients (200 eyes) had used R.G.P at least one year (1-4 years); K- reading were stable at all patients after this period
|
|
Results:
|
In patients with keratoconus at all ages that used R.G.P for refractive error correction no progress in KCN observed after 1-4 years.
|
|
Conclusion:
|
Rigid gas permeable contact lens (R.G.P) usage may prevent keratoconus progression, and may be an alternative for corneal Collagen Cross Linking (CCL).
