Purpose:
|
To evaluate which method is the choice,23 or combine 23-20 gauge vitrectomy in managemennt of traumatic patients.
|

Methods:
|
Data collected include age sex type of trauma and type of vitrectomy in 30 traumatic patients
|
|
Results:
|
86.5% of our patient are male.10% have IOFB,five patient needs pars plana lensectomy by fragmentor.12 patient (40%) needs silicon oil injection.
|
|
Conclusion:
|
23 gauge vitrectomy have some problem like slower gel removal and limited peripheral vitreous dissection.also in specific traumatic cases like patient with IOFB ,dislocated crystalin lens,traumatic cataract in old patient we needs to change to combine 23-20 gauge vitrectomy.So in our hand combine 23-20 gauge is the choice in traumatic patients.
