Purpose:
|
To access and predict patient cooperation undergoing topical phacoemulsification procedure, during routine preop examninations.
|
|
Methods:
|
158 cases were enrolled consecutively into The study. Patient cooperation was recorded during routine preop exams and after the operation.
|
|
Results:
|
Topical phaco was performed successfully on 103 out of 158 cases.statistical analysis then performed to find any correlation between patient cooperation during pre-op examinations and during the procedur. patients demographics were analyzed as well.
|

Conclusion:
|
patient cooperation during tonometry, pressing on the lacrimal sac and Tetracaine drop application were correlated with patient cooperation during topical phaco procedure.
