Purpose:
|
assessment of binocular vision in people who undergone refractive surgery compared with control group.
|
|
Methods:
|
sixty patients were examined three months after their refractive surgery and compared with sixty normal subjects as a control group. clinical examination include refraction, determination of best corrected visual acuity and associated phoria with Mallet test.
|

Results:
|
Refraction and visual acuity didn't show significant difference as well as vertical fixation disparity, but horizontal fixation disparity showed significant difference (p=0.01).
|
|
Conclusion:
|
Increasing in horizontal fixation disparity among patients with refractive surgery shows risk of mild binocular vision disorder, so assessment of binocular vision before refractive surgery is recommended.
